Removing Default DS in Jboss

August 20, 2007

After I removed the hypersonic DB through removal of following files
server/slim/deploy/hsqldb-ds.xml
server/slim/lib/hsqldb-plugin.jar
server/slim/lib/hsqldb.jar

I got the exception

— MBEANS THAT ARE THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM —
ObjectName: jboss.jca:service=DataSourceBinding,name=DefaultDS
State: NOTYETINSTALLED
Depends On Me:
jboss.ejb:service=EJBTimerService,persistencePolicy=database
jboss:service=KeyGeneratorFactory,type=HiLo
jboss.mq:service=StateManager
jboss.mq:service=PersistenceManager

Do the following changes to remove DefaultDS:

1. For EJBTimerService:
For the file jboss-service.xml

A. Commented the attribute

In mbean code=”org.jboss.management.j2ee.LocalJBossServerDomain”

B. Commented mbean code=”org.jboss.web.WebService” in jboss-service.xml

From the deploy directory
Removed file ejb-deployer.xml from deploy directory.
Removed the jbossws14.sar from deploy

2. For KeyGeneratorFactory:
Removed the sar – uuid-key-generator.sar from deploy folder

3.For StateManager
Removed the deploy/jms directory, login-config does not have any active tags for StateManager.

4. For PersistenceManager
Commented the mbean code=”org.jboss.system.pm.AttributePersistenceService” tag in jboss-service.xml

Removed:
Entire server/slim/deploy/jms directory
server/slim/lib/jbossmq.jar

Also commented the following in jboss-service.xml

With this I am able to resolve all the errors.

Not happy with myself
